Robert E. Medvey — Former Director of R. M. Capital and R. M. Equities
An experienced banking and investment professional, Robert E. Medvey completed a bachelor of science in accounting at the University of Connecticut in 1968 and subsequently began working at the Hartford National Bank. After completing its executive training program, he became the bank’s youngest assistant vice president and was tasked with facilitating business loans and new bank acquisitions. Robert E. Medvey spent four years in this role and later served as vice president at the Connecticut Bank and Trust Company.
In the mid-1980s, Robert E. Medvey launched R. M. Capital, Inc., and R. M. Equities, Inc., through which he offered a range of wealth management services. He successfully led these enterprises for two decades before facilitating a merger with Merrill Lynch in 2006. He had served as vice chairman and director of both the Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut, Inc. and Hospice of Southern Fairfield County.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Medvey has maintained a high level of civic and nonprofit involvement throughout his career. A past president of the Stamford Rotary Club, he served on the First Congregational Church of Greenwich’s Asset Management Committee and as a Director of The Pension Board. His extracurricular interests include fishing and following the PGA.
